Ok so I just got the Moto SLVR L7c from US cellular, but when I go to connect it to my pc, mpt doesnt even reconize or detect it. I do not have a sd memory card, but would like to download a couple mp3's to the phone. Do I have to have a sdmini or whatever? I have changed the connection back and forth from USB to Modem/COM (the only 2 options unders connections-USB Settings) but nothing works. Even the device manager doesnt detect it.

Suggestions???

Did you install the motorola drivers first? [if no, install them, then re-connect the phone]. Additionally, open the device manager and check the "ports". Once the drivers are installed, it should show up in there as a motorola diagnostic port [or something similar] when you connect it properly.

Are you connecting it into a USB hub or directly into the computer? [if a USB hub, use a connection directly on the computer - hubs don't always work well]. What about the USB cable that you are using? Where did you get it from? Did it come with the phone? [note that a few aftermarket cables have different voltages and can cause different behavior - so try a few different cables (borrow from friends before buying).]

When you connect it, does the phone say "Charging" ? If it doesn't even do that, then it isn't recognizing the USB connection.
