I'm thinking about purchasing a unlocked blackberry 8700. Is it possible to run MEdia Max 200 Bundle on it ?? If so whats the difference between having Media Maxx 200 Bundle and Blackberry Unlimited ??

And what is BlackBerry Internet Service Plan??
Is it only for emai?

???????????????

no, you cant use media max with a blackberry...you'll need access to the blackberry apn to use internet on the 8700, which isn't provided by media net. There are different options for the blackberries...29.99 BIS Unl which gives access to personal email as well as BIS MAX which is the same as the 29.99 + 1500 messages and is 39.99. IF you need access to a BES server, you will need the normal BB UNL which is 44.99/month or the same thing with 1500 messages (BB MAX) which is 54.99/month. Both packages will allow you unlimited internet access and email access on your blackberry. the only difference is the higher (BES, 44.99/54.99) will allow you use an enterprise server (BES) where as the other (29.99/39.99) will not.

The difference is that the Blackberry data plan will actually work and the money you pay for a Media Maxx plan with a BB is just a dontation to at&t... You must have a BB data plan. They aren't there just for kicks.

if you are interested in the BB specific email yes you need BB plan if you just want to surf and use own email you can use MM200 I have done it.

So for $40/month you get email, internet(unlimited), and 1500 text?
I just want to make sure that I read that correctly.
And the code is BIS MAX?
And this will allow you use of your own email address?
What exactly is an enterprise server defined as?
Is it provided by blackberry, or through a company?

^yes, it will give you unlimited email + browsing and 1500 text/picture messages. YOu can use up to 10 of your own email addresses as long as they allow pop3 or imap4 forwarding. An enterprise server can be purchased through RIM, but a company would have it normally.

I dont even see that package on the website currently listed with a phone, but if you go into a store or call customer service they should know what it is. It is the Blackberry Personal Max (or maybe extreme) something like that.

Does anyone know if Cingular video will work with the BIS plans, because I am looking to get a blackberry and occasionally swap it out with my blackjack.

I will say it 1 more time. I have installed Opera Mobile on my wifes BB Pearl and she has NO BB INTERNET PLAN and she can USE THE INTERNET. Please stop misleading people.

I guess you're special then, I moved sim card from my Blackjack to my Pearl (which has Opera Mobile installed) and it didn't work, I can however use my Pearl's sim in Blackjack and still access internet and receive email.
