hey all,

this is my first phone that has any capabilities beyond just making calls, so I don't really know how to get started with it...

basically, I have a V360 on Rogers, a MacBook running OS 10.4 with Bluetooth, and I want to transfer ringtones over from my computer to the phone. If someone could point me in the direction of how to transfer files to the phone, what file format the ringtones need to be in, etc., it would be greatly appreciated. I searched but couldn't find much..

TIA

Hello! Welcome to Howard Forums!

In terms of connecting your v360 to the computer, you should start by pairing the phone with the computer. go in System Prefs, hit bluetooth, hit the devices tab, and click Set up new device. Remember to make your phone discoverable while doing this! (I believe it is in settings & Tools -> Initial Setup).

When that is done, go download bitpim at http://bitpim.org. Drag it to applications, and run it. Look around the forums for instructions on how to set the phone up if it is not automatically detected. When the phone is set up, hit view -> view filesystem. Click on the file system on the left, and transfer away!
