Ok, I just got the MOTORAZR V3m with Sprint PCS as my carrier today. I tried to hook it up to my computer via USB cable. My computer tells me it is an unknown device.

Question 1) How do I get my computer to recognize the phone?

Question 2) How do I transfer MP3s from my computer to the micro SD card?

Question 3) How do I set these newly uploaded MP3s as ringers on the phone?

Get the hand set drivers from -> http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/

As for putting Ring TOnes on, I don't have a Sprint V3M so I can't say for sure, but the release notes for Moto Phone Tools (aka MPT) list compatibility with that phone in MPT v4.36c... so you can always look into that...

In MPT, set your phone as a v3mm and you'll see something called Multimedia Studio. You can use that to upload ringtones to your mobile. Make sure you go to the Melody Studio and you can send ringtones to your phone that way.
