I can't seem to find Smart Dialing options in the phone's menu? How can I access this program?

From the dialer screen click menu then Smart Dailing Options...

I noticed that the dialer I was using doesn't work with the new official rom... well it does but the smart dialing doesn't.... guess I'll have to look for a new one...

That's what I was trying to say. There's no "Smart Dialing Options" in the menu of the dialer screen..

Maybe I confused you... I was running a dialer skin on my old rom... once I flashed to the new one on HTC site the skin doesn't allow smart dialing to work... I still have the options though... from your dialer screen tap menu and it should be listed at the very bottom... what rom are you running btw???

I'm running the default Cingular ROM v1.34.502.1. That's why I was wondering why the Smart Dialing is not here. The instructions for smart dialing is even in the user manual.

hmm... from what i remember it worked when I was running that rom... sorry man i just can't remember

Finally got it to work. Did a hard reset. Thanks for the replies!
