Problem with BB 8100 Pearl!!

Every so often when I talk on my Pearl there is sometimes a sudden chirp. It chirps only some of the times, but when it does it is consistent throughout the conversation. It doesn't happen with all the phone calls, but it happens sometimes and it gets annoying.

I was wondering if anyone has this problem and is there any way of fixing this.

I have never experienced a chirp in the 5 months of owning my TMobile Pearl.

Which software version is on your Pearl? Do you have any third party apps on your phone? I've heard that some poorly written apps can make your phone do odd things.

have you tried doing a battery pull reset?

The chirp usually occurs when the earpiece is damaged, it's most common when it gets wet or moist and gets into the earpiece. You might want to replace the inner earpiece, you can probably do it yourself since it only takes about 5 minutes. If you have a spare phone, the earpiece usually fit, but depends on the phone you pull the inner earpiece from. I would first try to just reconnect the earpiece to the motherboard and see if that fixes it tho.

It's been happening since I got the phone. I've only had the phone for two weeks now. I definatley did not get the phone wet or moist so I know it's not that problem unless it was damaged before I got the phone.
