What is Cricket and why do people use it. I've read so much information on these forums and still don't understand it. I'll be upgrading from this POS VX6100 to the XV6700 in a few days..

Cricket is a service provider that offers unlimited minutes locally and text for about $40 a month. But the phones have a reputation for being outdated, and the reception rivals that of a walkie-talkie. On top of all that, it only work in about 100 cities in about 17 states.
