Is anyone experiencing problems streaming from www.xstreamxm.com/mobile or www.musicdock.com/mobile since installing the new rom? it works fine over WIFI but no longer opens media player when connecting over 3G? I have my APN set to wap.cingular (no proxy).

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just upgraded last night and just tried Music Dock right now and it works. I was getting errors when clicking the channel icons on my Favorites page but when I displayed all channels I was able to connect and play.

Do you have to have an account with XM to get XM to work on your 8525? I don't have an account, but it hardly seems worth $9 a month.

I don't know if this will help, but see my post here:

The Cingular proxy may be affecting the web site's ability to launch the streams in Media player. Try doing the registry edit to disable the proxy (which is now hard coded in to the reistry for IE only) and see if it works.

The 8525 upgrade includes a new app called Proxy Manager. It provides the ability to quickly disable and restore the proxy. My guess is it will become a most-used app for those needing access to MEdia Net and the isp APN.

I ran the disable proxy cab and it won't allow the stream to open up in the media player.

Not that I really ever used it, but it was cool to have it available.

I'm not paying for another XM subscription.

edit, xtreamxm won't work, but musicdock will.

Can you access any other sites from isp.cingular?

Thank you RF9. Disabling the proxy did the trick. All is well!

Sorry, I misunderstood the problem.

Sigh, doesn't work for me.

Using isp.cingular w/ proxy enabled - can't connect. (Locating...)
Using Wap.cingular w/ proxy enabled...
-Doesn't open the media player
-When I "click here" to open, it just sits there at "buffering 0%"

Disable the Proxy via reg hack:
- Using wap.cingular - same problem
- using isp.cingular - I can't get connected (IE sits there at "Locating...")

So I seem to be having the same issues w/ the proxy enabled or not enabled. :-(

And I DO NOT have the Proxy Manager app on my device (8525 w/ latest ROM, brand new).

The XMRadio app (in device/program files/xmradio) can't seem to do squat no matter what.

Well here some more to chew on.....
Since I Flash my rom to the new 2.15.502.3 and a few hour on the phone with ATT about getting isp.cingular to finally allow me in, I noticed some thing strange.
When using Xmradio or MobiTv, No matter what I had my default Connection set at it would always try to connect with My ISP!! Well another hour on the phone with MobiTV, and two supervisors this is the result.
They have no idea why it is happening or will even start a trouble-ticket for this!! So I deiced to correct it my self!!
Since Xmradio and MobiTv requires the wap server but no proxies and only will use My ISP connection, I editted My ISP connection to use wap.cingular! Then to use the isp server I made a New Connection!! so now EVERTHING WORKS!!
To recap:
I edit the Reg to remove the hard code proxie usage!
For MediaNet- use Wap.cingular and manually enter the proxies!...Works Great
For MobiTv and Xmradio- edit My ISP to use wap.cingular- no Proxies...Works Great!!
To Access isp.cingular, Made a new connention-Real ISP, no proxies....Works great!!

I hope this helps

So you are using the XMRadio app that came with the ROM? I cant get that thing to work at all. Doesn't it require an additional plan above and beyond PDA Connect Unlimited? Kinda like the PTT feature? I have a voice plan, I have PDA Connect Unlimited, and I have an XM radio account (thru XM, not some AT&T add on). Am I suposed t be able to use it? I just get connection errors.

OK, I'll try with all 4 connection combinations and see if I can get things working... (UGH! WHY can't AT&T just leave well enough alone? If it aint broke, DON'T BREAK IT, esp. for those paying extra to use it! WTF?)

Yes I am only using the 3 day trail of the XMRadio!. But I also try my friends XM account to connect to Musicdock.com/mobile that works just fine with my isp.cingular connection!
