I hope you guys can help. I did do a search and didn't have any luck.

I have a Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone and my Outlook email will only push to my phone from the Microsoft Exchange Server when my Outlook is up and running online on my laptop. My contacts, calendar, tasks, etc. sync just fine, and it will even show you that the emails are there, as in "Email: 12/12" but it does not show them in my Outlook email on the device unless my laptop Outlook is online. I have "Push" set on in my comm manager, I've wiped the device clean and re-set up the Active Sync wirelessly with the server and still no luck.

It has worked as intended in the past, just not in the last 3-4 weeks.

Spent hours with "Tech Support" and my work IT person, no success with either.

Thanks in advance!

Umm, I've helped solved a lot of DirectPush-related problems, but I've never heard of this one. What happens if Outlook is not running on your laptop? Errors on the device? Connects but no email? Nothing at all? What?

where email is concerned. Active Sync to syncs on schedule, and like I said calendar, etc still does it's thing. If you force a manual sync you will see that it shows that the emails are there but they will not come to the device. If i power up my laptop and start up Outlook to check my email, once they're loaded on my computer and it stays online, within a few minutes at most everything that's updated on my computer Outlook will start coming through to the dash.

Also, I can send email from the Dash no problem.

I remember read some where some one has similar issue and turns out has to do with anti-viruse software on email and the way exchange server is set up. Don't know the details though.

Did you use ActiveSync on the PC to set up your server source? Or did you configure it on the device directly?

Initially it was only set up on the device to communicate with the server wirelessly. It worked as it should up until 3-4 weeks ago. Since it started having the above issue I have went through the set up again both wirelessly and with Active Sync on my PC.

Have you tried to hard reset the device and reconfigure?

yes, i've restored it to like it was new in the box and started from scratch.
