I have had the 8800 for one day and there is dust under the screen already.
Is this normal for blackberries or is this defective?

Defective. I've had my 8800 for two months and there's no dust under the plastic.

I just called the company store and they said eveyone there has them and none of them have dust. This always happens to me. Oh well. They said to come in and they will take care of me. So off I go for a replacement. At Least it happened right away.

Boy, do I remember when they intorduced the 8700C. In just a few days there was ton of dust under the screen cover. Not much reporting of this on the 8800 so you just got a defective one! They will replace it.

You know, I got an 8700c right when it was launched and it never ended up with dust under the screen. I'm sure how one uses the BB makes a difference as well... My 8700s were always in their holsters. I do pocket my 8800 on the evenings and weekends but it doesn't have any dust under the screen.
