Can I use my Sanyo 8100 to send a fax from my computer? I have the USB cable and drivers. It also shows up as a modem, but I am unable to send a fax.

I think it is a problem because fax is an analog technology and all sprint phone are digital only. I looked in to this a few years back when I had the 8100, and it looked like no sprint phone would work for this. If anyone knows how to do it, I would like to know as well.

Alright, I am sure people are tired of hearing this particular problem, but no matter what I do it isn't working. A break-down of what I have done, if you will:

1. Bought a cable from Sprint PCS for Sanyo phones.
2. Looked for hours for a driver that didn't show a notepad icon with a gear on it (just about every single one I downloaded did this...even after extraction).
3. Found driver by dl'ing Sprint connectivity software.
4. Installed the sanyo driver.
5. Plugged my phone into the laptop via usb cable.
6. Power cycled my phone.
7.Nothing.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 3 more times (available number of usb ports) after restarting my computer.

AND I STILL GET NO FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD!!!!

any ideas on how to make my stupid comuter find my phone?
oh, and I have bitpim for getting the pics...just hoe do i get my comp to recognize and find my phone???
