P990i Music Problems. . . . .

Hello everyone i have had My Sony Ericsson P990i for about 2 months now for the first time i connected it to My PC this morning and it was instantly recognized however. . . . .Using the packaged,"Disc2Phone",software,i cannot put any music onto the P990i as in the Disc2phone window where the MS Duo Pro Memory Stick Window it does not recognize that i have a MS Duo Pro Memory stick already installed in My P990i despite there being a 2GB Memory stick installed!I have even tried downloading the Disc2phone software version from SE own website but still with same results can anyone kindly help Me please?

Do you have the phone in File-Transfer mode?

That's exactly what i realized once i checked through various forums!It doesn't say anything about that in the rubbish manual that comes with the P990i!Thankyou for Your help i really appreciate it.
