I don't know if it's just my phone but I'm about ready to throw my M1 out the window b/c of the speakerphone. While it's great for listening to music with and what not, whenever I use the speakerphone portion to talk to people, it gets so muffled that it sounds like the other person's mumbling. I've NEVER had this problem with any of my other phones. I keep having to shut the speaker phone part off and use it regularly. I'm just wondering if i'm the only one that has this complaint or is Sanyo known for this? This is my 1st Sanyo ever so I have nothing to copmare it to. But all my motorolas, Samsung, Nokia phones hasn't had this problem before.

I agree......same issues with both my M1 and my wife's M1. I wish Sanyo and/or Sprint would fix this, if possible, via a firmware update.

I replaced an older cell phone with an M1.
The quality of both the regular ear speaker and the built in speakers is really limp.
The speaker phone sounds like crap when I try to use it in the car.
However, I was surprised when I dialed a guy into a meeting and it worked very well in a regular room.
I am also disapointed at how bad the normal ear speaker is.
Plugging my other ear and listening very carefully is not what I would expect from such an otherwise great phone.
Using a bluetooth earpiece works very well.
Plugging other headsets, both mono and the included sterio, into the M1 works very well.
The sound is very rich and easy to make out.
