Sorry if this is a n00b question, but I searched all over the web and this website for info on what the current VX8600 software version is, and I can't find it. Are there any good resources for tracking new updates to phone software?

Also, is it possible to update the s/w at home via bluetooth, or must it be done at a Verizon store?

In general though, is there a dependable place one can look to find out what the current latest software version is, and what the changes are from previous software versions?

Not really, just threads that get posted here (and/or possibly other forums/web sites) that discuss anything new whenever someone finds out about it.

There are also "tracking" threads that pop-up here and there once in a while, like http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1056884 for LG VX8600, but (as you can see) even those aren't necessarily kept up to date all the time (until someone find out about an update somewhere else and decides to, or more likely even remembers to, update the thread for one reason or another).
