Slider Sonic & FM Transmitter Issues: Need Help!

Hello All. I'm hoping some of you guys/gals may have done the same thing and have figured this out? And help is really appreciated.
I just bought the Virgin Mobile Silder Sonic...because it has the MP3 player ( I know it's not the greatest...but I kinda like the phone!). I'm trying to use the Slider Sonic as an mp3 player, and have the mp3 play through my car stereo as I drive to work. I researched this a bit and this is what I bought to do this.
1.) Slider Sonic phone
2.) Radio Shack 3/32"-to-1/8" Wireless Phone Headset Jack Adapter (Product # 274-004)
3.) Wireless FM Transmitter with stereo input jack (no brand name, from Ebay)
Here's the Problem:
Everything its set-up correctly. But when the Mp3 plays...for some reason the music only comes out of the right side speakers of my car stereo!
What's going on here? I've tried to do some online research on the different types of jacks, whether they are 2, 3, or 4 pole jacks, stereo, etc.
Some people say the Radio Shack adapter's don't work well. But...this one states on the package that is IS a 4-pole jack connector. What is the headphone hole in the Slider Sonic? I assume it's a 4-pole as well?
I'm trying to find the bad link in this set-up and fix it!
Also...what is the best FM Transmitter to buy for use with the Slider Sonic? Anyone use an FM Transmitter in their cars with success with this phone?
Thanks for reading and for your help!

it's probably because radio shack sold you the wrong jack. it probably only supports mono and you car uses stereo

Hello AgeNt B! Thanks for your help.
I was thinking the same thing. But the thing is...the packaging on the Radio Shack adapter says it converts to a stereo jack. I'm going to go back to Radio Shack today to see what they think and if they might have a different adapter.
I'll post again to report what they said. Thanks.

Unfortunately...no real help from Radio Shack. The clerk there said that sometimes the 4 connector plug doesn't work with some cell phones jack's. Which....I'm not too sure I believe.
So, I'm back to square one. Hasn't anybody tried using an FM Transmitter with their Slider Sonic? Any additional help would be awesome. Thanks.

Success! FINALLY!
It turns-out that what the Radio Shack employee was telling me was true. Some MP3 phones have an unusual headphone female plug. It looks like the Slider Sonic is one of them. The Radio Shack adapter didn't work. But I ordered a Kyocera (the maker of the Slider Sonic) adapter from their website, and this seems to solve the problem! Here is a link to the Kyocera website & adapter:

Hope this info helps out with anyone else trying to use their Slider Sonic with an FM Transmitter in their car, etc.

IMHO the matter is in the right pinout. I wanted to do the same but there was no time. Just make the correct connection and that's it.
