New battery for Snapper

I went into Radioshack today and asked if they carried batteries for the Snapper. The guy said and I quote, "Unless you're in love with your current phone, you should just get a new one."

Can you believe the gall?! They don't even try to veil their profit-mongering anymore. I don't care what's good for Radioshack's profits. I only care about what's good for the customer, and buying a new phone isn't good for the customer!

Why the hell should I buy a whole new phone when I've only had this one since November and it just needs a new battery? Are there any stores that would have a replacement battery in stock? I don't want to buy online because I don't want to pay for shipping.

If this is the wrong forum, then I apologize in advance.

I work at a radioshack and admit they pressure their employees to sell things that aren't always in the customer's best interest. That being said, you probably could order a battery through a radioshack store, and it will be 30-50 dollars, a kyocera cyclops is $60 if i remember correctly. Its not that much more, to get a new phone with a new battery, charger, not wait for shipping, etc. Plus, i don't blame the employee for looking out for himself, he'll make less than a dollar selling that battery, and five bucks selling you a phone. Just looking at things from that perspective....
