What Cingular Phone is Best in a Weak Signal Area?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm planning to upgrade away from my V551. It's got like 6500 hours on it. I'm in California Central valley and Bay Area.

I need Bluetooth, Speaker phone. I'm not a multi media person.

I can go straight to Cingular store, or Cingular on line, or third party.

Main reason is in my office in my home the signal is weak, but mostly doable but can float away in the middle of a conversation.

I don't use PDA functions, etc. (no company support)

Thanks in Advance

Basicly the Razr line, i.e. the v3, v3xx or krzr would give you excellent rf performance. I have also heard that the w810 is a great performer too.

Yep...what he said...right on the mark. Either phone.

I've got a Razr, Razr v3xx, Krzr and w810i and to me the Krzr is the best of the bunch in reception. I can hold a signal with it that I can't with the others. All are better than most for low signal areas.

Krazr, v3xx, Razr.

W810 has good reception, though it's not good as Z710 and K790

Sony Ericsson & RIM!

Thanks for all the info...

I'd be stumbling around in the dark without your input!

BTW: I wonder why they haven't thought of putting a flashlight circuit on a phone yet?

To me, V3xx is the best of all. KRZR and W810i is good as well.

You can use the flash on the W810I as a flashlight

Another person chiming in for the V3xx.

I have to admit my v3xx was better than my samsung 707 for reception.
