I recently got my 6700 and this is my first experience with WM. Does anyone know of a program I could download allowing me to back up all of my contacts, phone settings etc. directly to the memory card so I have an instant backup method?

Take a look at Sprite Backup and SPB Backup. If you search HoFo, you will find that this subject has been discussed any number of times and you will get a variety of answers. I've tried both products I mentioned and prefer Sprite.

in file exploror there is a file called pim, copy that to your sd card....

lets say your phone messe up and you loose everything.....

in file exploro move the pim file into my documents...
load your pim file into the main directory off the sd card and then delelte the one in your mydocuments. Reset the phone and all your contacts are back !
