I'm just want to know what files to keep and what to delete on my data device. I also have a 1 GB storage card, too. I want my device to function to full capacity. The quickguide is useless and the manual isn't much help either.

After much thought, here is my response: Only put the files and programs you will be using on a consistent basis. Another thing: save large files on the memory card such as pictures and ringtones, back up, etc.

Glad to see you are thinking things through... it's amazing how many people don't.
Here is my response: Put everything that you can onto the storage card, except:
*Programs for which the developer clearly states that device memory is preferable
(to clarify: Install programs on the card too, unless told otherwise; if a given program doesn't work properly from there, you can always remove it and then re-install)
*Anything that relates to your Today screen and/or is always running
(i.e., plug-ins that you actually use, whether shown or not)
(exception: icons on Today screen that can be loaded at start-up)
I've noticed that people tend to try using up the device storage memory, just because it's there... DON'T. Sheesh, what do you have there, 20-30MB or so to fill? LEave it alone, and put everything you can on the SD.
In a way, Rockinabs, I'm saying the same thing you did... but it's not about what you use, but rather what the device uses.
Make sense?
