Ignore a call on V3xx

My co-worker just got a V3xx and he wants to know how to set it up so that when he gets an incoming call he can just hit one of the outside buttons to ignore the call and silence the ringer. I haven't played with it too much, just looked quick and didn't see any option for that. I don't remember doing anything special to my original RAZR to make that work. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

With the phone closed, push the left top button. This will silence the call. This is the same button that you use to set the ring style when the phone is open.
