Hey,

I work for a premier agent in the New York market. I am just curious to know what the employers are paying for your gross feature adds. The way mine is currently set up is:

0-1000: 15%

1001-2000: 25%

2001-3000: 35%

3000+ : 45%

Thanks.

I get face value up to $20 except for free features like roadside and the b.s. voicedial I get a buck

Face value of features up to 25 dollars.

Needless to say I love me some MM200+M2M.

It does a feature quota good.

Is there a chargeback period?

Very simple: Cingular pays the Agent 4x the feature amount and the salespeople get a flat 30% of all feature revenue, regardless of how much they sell.

There is a cap--Cingular will pay a max of $100 toward any feature, so any feature over $25 is capped at $100 payout.

Used to be that way... Plus Cingular would only charge back 3X the feature revenue, so the agent made Face value no matter what.

MAY, started a new feature comp system in my area... still the 4X face value, but now it's FULL charge back. But they did away with the CAP, so I can get paid $200 for the PDAmax if I sell one.

I also pay my employees face value for the feature, but wouldn't charge them back if it cancelled (as I wasn't out any money, and my employees were happier which inturn makes them sell more), but now with the new policy, they'll get charged back(But I pay more 2X now to make up for it).

That's very nice of you...I hope your employees appreciate it.

The thing that pisses me off here is the 185 day wait to be vested (more if there was a free promo associated with the feature). That is WAY too much time to worry about someone flipping your feature. I know some companies that only have a 60-day vest for their employees, even though the company has to wait the 6 months...but then again, they only pay out 2X the feature to make up for it.

I love the uncapped idea...hope like hell it comes here. Our Agent also pays an additional cash spiff for all features over $14.99/month as incentive. Not sure if Cingy is paying the Agent as well, but I can tell you that it helps alot. Even if 50% of the features get cancelled within the 6 months, the cash spiff will cover it.

BTW, what market are you in?

Yeah, that 185 day thing is bunk too. Luckily, the COR stores around here ran all their "experienced" employees off (including me..lol), so all they do now is make customers mad, and then they come to me or another agent.

It's sad really, I put 7yrs at that store only to see it turn to S##T.

I'm in NFL (Tampa) market. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. I do a few data devices, but not many. But then, I don't get alot of chargebacks either from people dropping features... so it should be better with the new policy, time will tell.

Do you have an advertising quota?? Well... not really a quota, but it's either "do it or you'll loose money"

Yeah...same idea here for Ad money.

Do you know if that new feature comp plan affects the Orlando area? We have several stores there, but I haven't checked lately.
