Underwhelmed with Phone Selection...

Well don't yell at me guys, but I am pretty underwhelmed with Cingular's current phone selection. I am used to this, but I am also used to seeing phones that are "testing" and what have you in the forum to keep my hopes alive for Cingular keeping up with the Jones's.
Are there new phones coming perhaps and Cingular/AT&T is now trying to get them out quick and not do the 8 month wait thing or are there just no new and innovative phones out/coming in general right now? V3xx and N75 took so long to arrive I kind of got worn out on them. Again don't yell at me, you can justify their phone selection, but I am just curious as to what might be coming to make their phone selection stand out. (iPhone is not what I am talking about either)
