I hate to cross post, but what do the flip-phone gurus say?
What is the phone with the best RF reception currently available?

The LG phone on my family plan stiiiiiinks! It's 2 years old now, so I thought that this is a good time to get something with better RF :-)

I tested the v3xx since I have VZW now and will go to Att when my contract is up in July. It had the best signal in my house where even good VZW phones had issues. I had no issues in the area where I live and work so I can say its good.

I am going to add another one for the v3xx. I get nothing but full bars and crystal clear reception. Awesome phone, and I love it. Better than any other phone I have ever had!

V3xx with Fireball 3G SIM gets my vote too.

I've got a V3xx, KRZR, RAZR v3 and Sync in my flip lineup and the KRZR gets my vote for #1 with the v3xx a close second. The Sync should be called the Stync when it comes to reception, IMHO.

I guess it depends on where you live. The Sync has the best reception of any phone I've had. My house has been a black hole of reception until I got the Sync. It works so well I got my wife one too. In all fairness a friend with the V3xx gets great reception there too although I've had so many quality problems with Moto in the past that I just don't trust them.

I am getting a Motorola V551.

I know its old - but its a work horse, very rugged, and great RF. And it has a stub antenna which most GSM phones do not.

I was pleasently surprised with the RF performance from my V3xx, and like many other people here I HATED the razr...Ended up with this puppy after 5 XBM'd Sync's and haven't looked back. Love it.

I remember the V551, not very good. Lots of garbling.

The Sync deserves a mention for RF.
