Dash/S620 Unsilenceable SMS/Text Message Ringtone Problem still exist?

Does anyone know if the unstoppable/unsilenceable sms/text message ringer bug still exists? I've always loved to set personal mp3 ringtones for text messages with pda devices. I've owned the Dash 4 times..well 5 now and I just couldn't get over that issue. The workaround is to set some SUPER WEAK standard short ringtone. Which I don't think we should have to do. Any suggestions. Jog Strip will not silence it. The hack only works for calls.
Wonder if this issue is still apparent on the S630?
