after i flashed my phone with fungied.cheese's pack mentioned on this thread.

since the pack comes with america_2 file system, i get English, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. when i start my phone i only got English, but i also want spanish, so i checked fungied.cheese's pack and noticed that his customize.xml had this info: (im gonna put in BOLD the important parts)

there is two things with that... first... the language variant reads europe_2, im using FS america_2 and second.. under allowed languages there is no mention of latin american spanish (XL), so i thought maybe this is why they dont show, i was gonna modify this myself but decided to download a differnt custom pack i found one for america_2 with the right info:

so i flashed my phone using that. it worked. on the first boot (with SIM card in) i saw everything (menus text etc) in spanish so that was good, but after i turned off the phone and turned it on again... everything was in english. i checked under PHONE LANGUAGES and spanish and portuguese were gone. i was only left with english (the languages under writing language were still there)
so my Question is why does this happen?? i dont understand. what am i doing wrong and what do i need to do to keep the other languages???

i live in Honduras so even though i speak English it would be nice to have spanish too. thanks for your help

language settings can be found in 2 places, one the customize.xml which you've altered properly.

second place is tpa\preset\system\language.

allowed_language.txt should contain:

en, es, pb, xl,

and you should see .t9 and .lng files that correspond.

i don't see the files you mention.. are those supposed to be in the folder own_custpack with Phone XS or are those in the phone and i have to access them with FAR manager? whatever the answer can you tell me how to get to them? thanks.

EDIT: i found that in the folder files_to_upload in Phone XS i forgot to change the costomize.xml there as well. maybe thats what caused the problem... i'm gonna try changing it and flashing again.

ok... it was the customize.xml i used the one i posted first. i used the FAR+SEFP methond.. that method rules.. i was done in a few mins. no brute forcing. if any one needs help with that just ask.
