Hello HoFo,
I am totally new to the cell phone world. My parents just bought me a W810i from Rogers on Saturday. Inside the walkman has the greeting.mp3 file which I can't get rid of, I have read that it isn't possible. I try to put my own music as ringtones, that doesn't work either. So.. I am planning to go to Pacific mall tomorrow to get it in unlock. When I called they said something about unlocking for worldwide use and could unlock it for music. So my question is, when they unlock my phone for music, I could put personal ringtones and delete the greeting.mp3? This voids the warranty for Rogers but do I still have warranty from Sony Ericsson.

quick answer
unlock lets u use any sim
unbrand lets u use mp3 rigntones
yes it voids ur rogers warranty

I am not new to hofo, new to cell phones. This is my first cell phone and have not done anything to a cellphone. thanks for the reply and got the terms straighten out.
