Verizon convert, need handset advice

I'm going to port my Verizon number over to Cingular/AT&T tomorrow because of piss poor service from Verizon with cust service, handset service, etc.

I've been using a Palm Treo 700P for the last 2 months and absolutley HATE it for the slow response times, locking up, rebooting itself mid call, etc. But, I do really like some of the features it has. Before this phone, I used an LG VX8100 and really liked its durability and features, but am already used to a more feature rich phone now.

A few requirements:

- easy to txt msg.
- fast processor speed (hated the delay on the Motorola phones)
- high speed data for email and web
- excellent signal coverage (I travel and goto some strange places!)
- camera
- video
- sync-able to a mac

A few desires:

- great battery life (a few days would be nice)
- very durable... I'm rough on phones
- charger size is small

Recommend me a Cingular/AT&T branded handset that fits these items, please.

Also, could someone please tell me what I will be gaining (or losing) by either having a phone thats a quad band or a tri band phone? I do travel worldwide and would like to use my phone in different countries (something I've not been able to do on my Verizonsuck phone)
