Cingular w810i connecting to pc problem

I'm having trouble connecting the w810 to the pc. When I plug my phone into the pc and select phone mode, the pc doesn't even see there's anything plugged in. It doesn't have a balloon popup saying new usb device found. I've tried using SEUS and MPE and neither of them works. I've tried on multiple pcs and none of them have worked so far.

I plug in my old w600 and SEUS automatically connects to it. The phone works fine when I connect thru bt. I've searched thru HF and I couldn't find the answer.

The problem isn't with your phone or Cingular but the problem is that you're pressing the wrong button when you connect it to the pc. you have to press transfer mode not phone mode. phone mode is if you wanna use your phone while its connectedf to the pc. you would use this if lets say you wanna charge your phone. transfer mode is if you wanna put files on your phone. dont worry i had the same problem when i first got the phone.

?? the problem is ur comp... drivers aren't installed properly wat OS rae u using??? and yes u can transfer files thru phone mode...

I'm on XP pro, and I have tried both modes. I figured it might be drivers but I don't couldn't get it to work.

Well, if the phone is giving you the prompt for phone mode/file transfer, and begins charging (?) that indicates that at least the cable and phone itself should be working fine, which indicates a problem on the pc side.. if you connect it with the sony ericsson pc suite open does it detect it?

tats wat i was thinking... it should be drivers when i connect my k750i to comp for some reason my pc suite doesn't detect it... it says not connected or w/e but then when i clikc on file manager and stuff it works so i dunno wats up with tat...try clicking on the file manager and if you c a file named w810i or w/e u phone name is then it should work like mine..

I've used the PC Suite too and the wizard couldn't find the phone either. However it will detect my w600 when I do plug it in. Another thing, I don't think it's charging the phone when it's plugged in either.
