Do you know how to change the path and test of Right SoftKey

Does anyone have any idea on how to change the path and test of the Right SoftKey?

I'd like to change the path from the current "Menu" to access my Gmail application which resides in Organizer/Applications.

Change the "Menu" on the desktop to display "Gmail" as well.

I have tinkered with this using information from the SE-NSE forum and some threads posted here (way back on the timeline) and have come up with no success so far.

Thanks in advance.

Alvin,

Thank you for your input and please don't take any offense to my reply but...

Are you absolutely positive about your response?

I've come across a few threads here and at SE-NSE stating otherwise.

Can't remember nor find the 3rd one at Esato.

Only problem I'm having is that the change is directed to Opra-Mini in these threads.
I'd like to use Gmail which also a Java application.
Only problem I'm having is the syntax within the <item_action> field to point to Gmail.
I've successfully changed the name on the desktop from "Menu" to "Gmail".

I have yet to find the post in these threads which supports your statement.

Thanks again.

OK - Got it figured out thanks to the assistance of qwerty and nkls on the SE-NSE forum.

Now instead of my right SoftKey displaying "Menu" and going to the main menu, which the Center Navig. Key also does.

It displays "Gmail" and opens up my Gmail account.

It makes better sense to me - Why have 2 buttons perform the same function?
My left SoftKey opens my Calls and my right SoftKey opens my e-mail from my Gmail account.

Credit goes to qwerty and nkls.
Thanks again guys
