I have a pearl running 4.2.1.94
It's been at least a week now and I haven't been able to use opera mini at all. The network setup finishes and it says that it can't connect.
It was working fine for months. I can't remember if it stopped working when I upgraded the firmware or if it stopped working after that.
Google maps and jivetalk both work fine.
Could it be s problem with the specific firmware? Is anyone else having this problem?

had the same problem... what you have to do is change the apn for your provider...like i went to options... advanced options... tcp and on apn i put wap.voicestream.com cuz i got t-mobile... if u dont have t-mobile copy the apn for your provider there's a list here!!!

my apn is set to wap.voicestream.com. that's not the problem.
absolutely no one has had this problem at all?

I was having the exact same problem as vintagenoise and inputting the APN to wap.voicestream.com worked for me, so there is obviously something else going on with your Pearl...

reset the firewall seetings in options>security settings>firewall click menu reset settings...take out the battery for a min...after that put it back in pop ups will come up saying allow conections(there"s like 3 or 4) click the first option and allow on all of em..go back to tcp and input wap.voicestream.com and it should work
