We travel in Europe - Spain, France and the UK primarily.
We make voice calls internationally. Almost exclusively within Europe.
We send and receive a lot of emails, and need to do so on the move.
We will mainly want to do so, through our notebook computers.
We may be out of range of WiFi networks for a proportion of the time when we want to send/receive data.
We want to be able to purchase data/telephony SIM cards in each of these countries that are compatible and that access similar services from associated service providers in each of the countries. It seems as though each of the three SIM cards will be Pay As You Go, although we are not certain of this.
We want to find the best product to satisfy these requirements.
We want to find the best price-plan (contract and/or PAYG) for the three countries.

Suggestions/recommendations would be gratefully received regarding
(a) best product
(b) best service
(c) purchase cost
(d) ongoing costs/charges and
(e) compatibilities for UK, France and Spain networks (which networks)
