I cannot get MPT (latest Ver) to connect to my V3xx. I have tried multiple times. I have deleted any reference to Motorola in device manager and have run the BVRP driver update download.

I finally am to the point where when I start MPT it brings up a picture of my phone and the new hardware found identifies the phone and the modem installs but I get a error message that this device cannot start (code 10).

Any help would be appreciated.

There are various problems with different versions of MPT & the V3xx.

No Kidding. I was already on the BRVP forum, but as you indicated there are lots of problems and very few answers. I had recently updated to ver 4.5.1c so I am going to "restore" to an earlier date and see if my new phone will work with ver 4.21.a

Mine works with XP service pack 2, MPT v4.3.6c, as updated from 3.something.something.whoknowswhat.

When I plug in the phone (without MPT runing) XP sees the phone as USB mass storage. My V3xx micro-SD card shows up as a drive letter. When starting MPT, the first thing MPT does is switch the phone to modem mode. After the phone shows up on the desktop, the device manager shows a Motorola USB modem, driver version 5.1.2600.1330 dated 12/26/2003.

thanks for your imput. I havn't had time to play around with my phone the last few days. The phone is new and I purchased a micro sd card through e-bay but it will be another few days before it arrives. Funny thing though I had an old version of MPT that I updated to 4.5.1c that did not work, so I restored my pc to a date before the update and started over instructing the update file to only update to 4.36, but the update went ahead to 4.5.1c even without my checking the box to update to that version. Guess I can thank MPT once again for nothing.

I had a problem synying my v3xx with MPT 4.5.1c. Everytime the synsed the status showed up as failed. 4.3.6 works ok, but I went into the setting and on data source I selected default contacts and calendar, instead of outlook (I am running outlook 2003) Now it works fine.
