Dash backlight randomly turns on..

I tried searching the forums, but found nothing. I just bought a Dash, updated it to WM6, and it currently has no third party applications. I think it has to do with AIM via OZ. The backlight will turn on whenever there is action (someone getting online/offline) on my buddylist, however, there are times when the light will turn on when NO action occurs on my buddylist. I'm thinking OZ might be updating my buddylist status every so often, causing the light to turn on? I've turned off sound notification and am stilling having the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, what was your resolution? Thanks for any help.

actually this does happen to my Dash sometimes. I'm on WM6 but I never use the OZ... haven't found a solution yet!

I had this happen once so far. it took a soft reset to fix. The backlit lcd came on to full brightness and stayed on till soft reset.

I think this is WM6 problem. My HTC S620 was doing the same thing after I upgrade to TMoble WM6. I have GPRS on all the time. I has the push email on. when it push, it light up. I downgrade it to WM5 and the problem vanished.

other than the aim app....the light usually turns on when its looking for signal its nothing to worry about annoying? yes to some but not to the point where u have to worry about ur dash

This seems to happen to me when my email is sync-ing check to see if you have a set your email options to automaticly sync.
