JPEG doesn't work as wallpaper

I created a JPEG using Paint Shop Pro according to Mark Venture's instructions for use as wallpaper. I copied the JPEG to the /motorola/shared/pictures directory using BITPIM. When I do that it shows up in My PIX but doesn't display. What am I doing wrong?

wow, how did you get BitPim to see your phone??

i have no idea how to use bitpim and want a newb guide

i would say, put the pic on a memory card or just bluetooth the pic to your phone. ofcourse, you could also txt the pix to your phone: 10Digit#@vzwpix.com

Nintendodude,

Go to www.bitpim.org. It's a free download and it comes with instructions. For a V3M tell the program it's a V3C and allow the program to auto detect the phone on your com port.

I don't have a memory card or bluetooth, so I can try the email trick (which I did with an earlier phone), but I don't think the problem is getting the picture to the phone, I think the problem is the phone interpreting the picture.

The email trick worked once I set up my vzwpix account. Apparently there's another file somewhere else that needs to be updated, and just using BITPIM to copy the jpeg isn't enough.

Sure enough, after I emailed the picture and set it as wallpaper, I went into BITPIM and looked in the /motorola/shared/picture directory. There was a file called ..dir.dat (yes, the filename begins with two periods) that wasn't there before, and when I hex dumped it, the name of my new jpeg was in it.
