Buy S620 now or wait for the S630?

Should I get the S620 now (through T-Mobile USA) or wait for the S630?

Other than the faster processor speed, 2MP camera and HSDPA, what else does the S630 offer that S620 doesn't?

Thanks for the help?

GET BOTH.

Dash for Rough nites, camping etc.

Business/work/nite on the town use the C730 Dopod.
* More color arrangements, especially if you hate the PINK/GREEN keypad writing
* MUCH faster cpu - smooth and fast menu's more than just the 400mhz #'s.
* WM6 Standard shipping no need to hack.
* Proper Slide Bar, no major hacking needed - in my eyes but I'm a newb.
* HSDPA not just 3G.
* Most likely a better WiFi app.
* supposedly better video playback performance.

GET Both or just get the DASH now, wait for the HTC Flip/WM Standard phone this fall.

Here is a side-by-side comparison so you can see for yourself.

If you decide to wait and get a version of the S630, you will have to get it initally at least thru an online vendor such as Mad Monkey Boys or Smart Mobile Gadgets (assuming they will carry them) or others. There has still been no official release on the HTC S630 by HTC. Hopefully we will see it available early in the summer. If something goes wrong warranty-wise with the S630, initially its probably going to have to go to Europe to get fixed if it is not yet released officially in North America.

If I were you, I'd try the S620/Dash now and if you like it and need the additonal offerings of the S630 (e.g. 3g), you can sell it and buy that when its released. You should be able to find one new or used at a reasonable price thru BST here, eBay, or Craigslist. If you are in a position to buy it with a contact at T-Mobile, you will do well there also.

so, when is the Cavalier going to be available through T-Mobile?

one would think it would get smaller, but being twice as powerful....I think I can handle it.

T-mobile USA? Not for a while if at all. Firstly, T-mobile USA doesn't have 3G up and running yet so they won't have 3G devices until then. Secondly the bands for 3G aren't right unless HTC makes a variant.

It's unlikely T-mo USA will ever carry the Cavalier. You can buy the Dopod C-730 if you know someone in Singapore though

Are you NUTS?! The screen is centered, and any possible issue of your Right Ear lobe playing with touch-volume controls in a call (no headset scenario).

OneHand, the Cavalier, Dopod C730 HAS the 400Mhz cpu, BT 2.0+EDR, WM6 Standard 3G

now that you mention it, i realized the screen was off by like 1 mm. even still its not enough to bother me. as for the touch volume control. i never had a problem with the volume moving while on a call. i think its more of the thumb activating the touch strip than your ear anyway. i guess it's like trying to compare apples to oranges here. you like the look of the s630 and i like my dash
