M1 having trouble with voice call

I just bought a M1 last week, and am having trouble with the voice call option. Can anybody give me any pointers on how to get it to work effectively? I am used to using a Motorola V262 with Alltel and it worked pretty well. Sometimes the phone would repeat the name back to me or a similar sounding name and I would correct it, then it would dial. With this M1 on the Sprint network, I have NEVER gotten it to work like I think it should! It is confusing about the beeps, as I dont know how soon Im supposed to say the name after the first beep, second beep, etc. I say I have never gotten it to work, but it does show me a display with three names, and the one I said is on the list, but I have to manually select it and dial. The one good aspect of the voice dialing feature is you dont have to have your glasses on it outdoors conditions to see whom you are calling, something I have a problem with. Can anyone give me some exact instructions on how to get this phone to work this option properly?
thanks,
Jim

You know who can give you exact instructions....YOUR MANUAL! that would make entirely too much sense tho... or there is a feature on the phone that explains what you have to input next, i forget how turn the feature on exactly myself, but don't bother looking at the manual, just a bunch of jibberish in there.

on a more serious note...one way that always works for me, is to hit the button, say "call", then say the name of who u want to call, then which phone (mobile, home, etc...). if its not sure what u said, there will be a few choice on the screen for u to choose from, say one, and then say "yes" or "no" if it got it right.

i like this feature on the phone a lot, it works pretty much every time even if i say it fast or unclear. good stuff!
