i was on the phone with tmboile in regards to this situation:
http://howardforums.com/showthread....143#post9268143
i was on the phone for about 2 and a half hours, the dude telling me to try all types of stuff. nothing worked. the last thing we were going to do was clear storage. i asked him if there was anyway to save my contacts, cuz i would lose everything, and activesync obviously wasnt working. he tells me to copy pim.vol to my desktop. so we do the clear storage and lo and behold... it still isnt working.
so he tells me to copy my pim.vol back to my cell phone. windows wont let me, so he tells me to rename pim.vol on my cell, so i rename it to "lol" cuz i was laughing at all the im wasted. i then successfully transfer pim.vol to my phone int the same directory. the tmobile guy then tells me to do a soft reset. guess wat happens? my phone wont load. it gets to the tmobile screen, then the windows mobile screen, then restrtas and goes back to the tmobile screen, then the windows mobile screen.. .REPEATEDLY!!!!!!! he says, ok, take out the battery and i will cal lu back in 15 minues. im going on break. ok... so i leave the battery out, and he calls me back 20 minutes later. he asks me to put the battery in.. i do!!! YAY! Guess what? ITS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN! As a matter if fact, its been restarted continously the whole time i have been typing this long *** post. The ******* THEN hangs up on me. I didnt get his employee number.. and he called me from a number i cant call back into right now, cuz my house phone has no long distance!!!
someone PLEASE help me get this phone booted. Im going to miss out on this entire weekend! please help ASAP!!!!!

pull your microsd card out untill it boots up to homescreen. very common problem w/ wm6 dash's
btw: if you ever have issues, best place to troubleshoot for the dash or tmo related ppc's/smartphones is in the tmo forum under windows mobile

that's funny. if you can, find a friend who has win xp and reload the wm5 rom on it. either you have a bad dash, or installing wm6 via win vista messed up your fone. there's no reason cs should deny your dash for a replacement though.
