Hey there!
I have install the Software TomTom Navigator 6 on a SD 2 GB card on my Palm OS Treo 700p from my Mac computer.
I have also installed the maps for Canada and USA.
I have the icon in the Menu of my Palm but when I press it, I see that TomTomis trying to load and then I have 2 error messages that come up:
- Armcode not allocated!
- ARM Load Error TomTom SD card ejected! Error #2
I've tried a soft reset and I've tried to reinstall everything. That still doesn't work.
Any tips, tricks, advices?
Thank you,
Seb

When you do a soft reset, after the phone boots up, did you wait for the "Please Wait" prompt to finish? This is when the phone locates the SD card. If you try to run TomTom before the "Please Wait", you'll get the error msg you indicated, because TomTom would not be able to see the SD card since the phone has not finished detecting it yet.

I have never gotten those errors but when I reset my 700p with tomtom 6, the treo doesn't even see the card. I am still very curious as to why this happens, but I remove it, get the little removal tone, and reinsert it then palm goes right to the navigate icon on the card. (I removed the start.prc so it doesn't start tomtom automatically when the card goes in) I am not sure if this happens because of the card I have, or if tomtom causes this.

Thanks for your help guys...
I've tried soft reset with the SD card inside... nothing.
I've tried soft reset without the SD card and then putting it in... nothing.
I've tried to reinstall the program on the SD card... still nothing.
Any other ideas? I'd love to get it to work!

If you have a card reader then check the contents of the card. There should be a /TomTom directory that contains
Data.chk
???.bin (this is the map detail)
TMCCODES.PR3
DATAxx.CHK (Soundfiles)
TMCPATHS.BFL
TRAFFIC.DAT
There should also be a /Palm folder which contains start.prc
