Elf with Multitouch?

Smartphone Thoughts is reporting (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/i...ab12827fc07a1b8) that the June 5th announcement from HTC is an Elf phone with a multi-touch display.
While I like the Elf form-factor, I can't see this being enough to compete with the brand power of the iPhone.
Thoughts?
