on a 3 years term, rogers is offering me

TYTN for 299
S621 for 149.99

which one should i get?
could both be unlocked and flashed?
are any features locked by rogers? can they be unlocked?
which one is a better deal?
does both have wifi? and could they both use msn messenger on wifi?

Don't know, what do you want to use it for? Look at a spec sheet and compare.

Both can be unlocked.

I do not know the Roger's firmware, but part of the unlocking you can upgrade the software on the solution. Thus anything that can be done with solution can be done. No limitations.

Both are a good deal. The TyTN is about $600, unlocked.

Does it have WiFi? Guy, please refer to my first sentence. Really. Don't be a noob. In case of Wifi, you can use Messenger\Live Messenger with it. I do it all the time.

i read on some threads that there would be some problems with the S621 in terms of using messenger and wifi together..

what are the exact difference between S621 and S620?

Posted by: ah_long

and another thing, w/o touch screen, is the S621 really hard to use?

There two different OS's one is geared towards a touch screen, and the other one is not. So the TyTN is WM PPC, and the S621 is WM Smartphone. You really have to do some search to find out.

any other inputs?

just to clear something for everyone. i was told and confirmed myself that both htc s621 and tytn from rogers are factory unlocked. you can use any sim in these phones.

^ not true, i for one had to unlock mine, like a fw others, so that we can use different ROM's.

got the tytn, hope i wont be dissapointed

My Rogers s621 (bought last week) was unlocked as others have reported. No problems here with wi-fi - messenger. Or anything else for that matter. Definitely a great phone in a small package for something that does so much. Its all good!

They both come SIM unlocked but the roms are locked so you'll have to get it CID unlocked. Which i'm sure is what you did to load up wm 6

Ive used both the TYTN and the s620, and i prefer the s620 over the tytn.

Also, if you like the slide out keyboard, i recommend the p4350 instead
