I posted the problem description below several days ago. If you own a stock w810i, would you please tell me if you have the same issue as I describe? It's simple to test. Set the alarm for 5 minutes from the current time and then start the walkman with music playing. Notice what happens when the alarm is invoked.

I have modded my 810 with Da_G's monster pack and all works well. Here's the scenario:

I go to bed and set the 810's alarm for 6:00 a.m. with a .mp3 or .wav soundfile for the alarm. Then, I plug in the headphones and start listening to music via the walkman. After falling asleep, the walkman is still playing. At 6:00 a.m., instead of the alarm playing the music file I've set it to, it chirps once and stops, and continues flashing the "turn off" or "snooze" menu items. If I quit using the walkman feature before I go to sleep, the alarm sounds fine. Is there a setting or mod I can make to correct this error?

wats a stock w810i? like no mods?

Correct. Stock means no mods; straight out of the box as you received it. But heck, even if you have modded your phone, I would appreciate someone testing this to see if you get the same results.

well this is normal. when i set my alarm and my firends call to wake me up i hear one chirp and then the flashing.

So, you're saying, if the Walkman is playing or you are on a call, the alarm doesn't work? I can understand it not working if you are on a call, but if the walkman is playing, why not sound the alarm? You set it for a reason.

cause it will seem like a song (if you alarm is an mp3 song like mine). All i know is that the ringtone will sound off if you're playing your walkman.

ok i just did the test and the alarm goes off but to a different sound file.
