8700 Wont Flash Red LED For Missed Calls

Hey guys, so my 8700 wont flash red for missed calls. It only flashes red for VM, and text based messages. If there is a missed call, the LED only flashes green, but if the missed caller leaves a VM, it will then flash red. Is there anyway to get it to flash red for missed callers who dont leave VMs? I tried the profile setting options, and it only gives me the option to turn the LED on or off, and it's currently on.

I think if you go into the options in you Phone app, you can turn call logging on. This will have missed calls show up in your messages. I think this is what give you the blinking red light.

Go into the phone app, (press trackwheel) Options - Call logging.

Well, after turning the misses call logging on, the LED still doesnt flash red when I get missed calls. It still only flashes green. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Check the Profile. Go to Profile - Advanced - Edit - Phone - Repeat Notification. Mine is set to LED Flashing.

Yeah, mine is set to repeat notification for everything, but the LED doesnt flash red for missed calls

As long as you have call logging set to record missed calls, then, it seems to me, a missed call becomes, in effect, an email. So now make certain that your red indicator is set to be trigerred for emails-- I would think those two settings together would do it.

yeah, Ive tried every trick in the book, even sat on the phone with BB, and never resolved an issue that, in my opinion, is critical to a phone's performance (hey, phone, please let me know I've missed a call). so, i went and purchased an application called BB Alert which allows me to not only flash the LED for missed calls, but I can color customize the LED for any and every notification. Pretty cool little application.

Im an idiot... I just realized this stupid BB Alert software deleted my freakin browser Icon...WTF?!?!?
