Verizon SLVR L7c question

I have been trying to do this all night. All I want to do is to be able to sync my L7c with windows media player 11 so that I could add a few mp3s to it.
I have done everything on this website, http://mark.cdmaforums.com/1-USBDriver.htm and it has been very helpful, but still I am not able to sync the phone with windows media player. I can install the "modem" drivers so that it works in Motorola Phone Tools but when I try to sync it, the add new hardware prompt comes up and then then it's trying to add itself as a new portable device. Well the driver installation fails and it says something about not being able to use an INF file or something like that. I have tried all three of the "sync fix" tools that are listed there as well to no avail. Does anyone have any knowledge on what I should be doing to get this to work.
It really upsets me that Verizon has this as a listed feature yet it is so extremely difficult to get it to work. I am thinking of just exchanging this phone for an LG VX8700 if I can't get this to work, which is a shame because I really like the design of the SLVR. Any help would be wonderful, thank you.

Hi,
Did you ever get this working?
If some can you provide some pointers.
Thanks,

I have had this working for a while....
Open Motorola Driver Installation.... hit CLEAN ... then hit Clean and Install
Then reboot!
Once rebooted, plug phone in ... let it install ~4-5 drivers .... reboot again
Then plug phone in, it should prompt you to "sync music files in WMP"
Choose that, and you should be good to go!

Thank you for the reply. I tried that, but it did not work. At the end of the procedure where you say:

it just never does that. I followed the instructions exactly but I don't know. Maybe the drivers I am using aren't installing all of the necessary drivers? When I go into WMP manually, the phone doesn't even show up in the devices I can sync this up to.
Would you be able to give me a direct link to the drivers I am supposed to be installing? The ones I have been using are: Motorola_End_User_Driver_Installation_2.7.6.msi
Thanks.

that is very odd, I uploaded my copy of "Motorola_EU_Driver_Installation.msi" to megaupload (this file is FREELY available, not warez), and put it in a .rar file (so you need winRAR, or similar, to extract). Im not 100% sure which version it is as I got it off a link from one of the guides out there. Hopefully this will fix it?!

EnJoy! :P

Do me a favor and try this before you try the new drivers:
After you have properly installed drivers (or at least followed my instructions) and you have restarted just before you want to sync, do this:
your in windows, plug your phone into pc, NO NEW DRIVER INSTALLS SHOULD OCCUR!, now on L7c .. go to "music and tones" (subsection on your menu in "get it now") --> Sync Music ... now your phone should turn to "listen mode" and you should see something like ... "trying to sync with PC" on your phone ... THEN WMP should prompt you to sync your music
DO IT!!
Let me know if this works, if not then install new Motorola drivers.
