Few Questions about the Z710i and upgrading firmware.

I've seen a few posts online about the possibility of upgrading the Z710i's firmware with the firmware from the W710i etc.

However I have a few questions...

1) Does the media player in the W710i firmware support ".WMA" or ".ASX" streamed audio over the Internet?

2) In anyone's experience--has Sony ever sent out a feature/Software "Upgrade"?

You know---- Basically if you goto the "Settings" menu in the Sony Ericisson phones and they have the option for "Update Service" and "Search for Update..." That thing..... Does Sony ever actually upgrade their software? or is it just more bloatware that will never actually get used on these phones?

3) Does the W710i's software come with an embedded Instant Messaging program??? If not I have an old T616 which does have the co-branded Sony Ericsson OZ-Communications instant messaging programme with AIM, Yahoo, ICQ etc. is there anyway I can upload that phone's Java program to my *new *model of Sony Ericsson phone? Either the Z710i or the W710i software?

Anyway I hope someone has found some easy work arounds for these few questions I have.
