getting rid of solo plan, for anyone who wants it

i've decided to ditch my old solo plan since i switched, and since everyone i know already has a plan i figured i'd see if anyone here wants it.

it's the oooold old solo deal, from when they started up about a year to a year and a half ago or so.

completely free mobile browser, truly unlimited text msging, evening/weekend calling starts at 8. free calling from 4pm to 4:30pm.

$30 per month

to be honest, the per minute calling rates are a tad high, so you're going to be going over 30 if you're not careful but hey, it's actually not too bad a deal if you're doing what i'm into doing, which is texting alot and using the phone to check stuff online.

the rep said there was a $20 transfer fee. i had a 6275i but it broke, all i have now is a super old solo phone that's out of production, so unless you want that, i've no phone to give whoever wants it.

i'm in calgary. if anyone wants this, let me know. (if this is in the wrong forum, sorry)

I see you are from Calgary - if you are getting out of Solo maybe you want into a cheap Telus deal?

I've got a contract up for grabs: 150 anytime minutes, free evenings & weekends, unlimited text, voicemail, caller ID --> $32 month I'll even give up my phone.

Check it out on www.cellout.ca

I find it really funny that Bell has the most entries of people trying to get rid of their contract on that website.

that seems cool. are you in calgary? or somewhere in bc?

i have 10 months left to go on amp'd. you'd be a miracle worker to find someone who'd want this.

You can post this in BST Non-GSM, you can also post in on Craigslist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solo_Mobile has the full details on the plan (was the 4-4:30 thing a promo?)

Also, it'd be good to know if Message Centre Express can be added for $5, and if the extra minutes can also still be added or if you're stuck with the exact plan as is.

With being able to add extra minutes the plan actually starts looking a lot better as 100 weekday minutes is pretty low.

Comparing it with Bell that's available now - $10 for unlimited messaging, $10 for Fun 10, Call display + unlimited mobile browser, $8.95 SAF, $0.75 911, call forwarding $3, - that's already $32.70 before you add a rate plan. There's no other way you can get those features together. I'm sure there will be some text fiends who would like some voice minutes who would go for it.

If/When the KRZR comes around, the unlimited browser with EV-DO would make it even better.

that much i don't know. i really never looked too too deeply into it as i never intended on having it as long as i did. i know the 4-430 calling was part of the deal way back, but really not advertised much. i figure they were just marketin gto kids just getting out of class and making plans, etc. solo had that "soccer mom trying to be hip" feel to them.

Well I'll be one of them too, in 1.5 years. Switching to Rogers at my first opportunity.

yea...amazing.

there are a whopping 4 people trying to get rid of their contract...holy cow...that is so much worse than the 3 that rogers and telus have.
