Hi, im not planning on upgrading my excalibur to WM6 ROM so may i ask which WM5 ROM, TMo/DopodAsia/S620 in terms of availablr memory, speed and ease of use?

If your carrier is Tmo, you should use theirs, imo. I've used both the HTC and the Tmo on mine with Cingular and while it was nice to ditch the Tmo branding, I went back because I wanted the Tmo keybd enhancements that aren't availble in the HTC wm5 version. I can't comment on the Dopod as I have not tried it. This is an often discussed subject in one form or another and if you dig a little here and search you should find some other related threads.

Biggest for me is the ability to hold down a particular key and have its upper symbol inserted into your text/msg without having to select alt first as you do in the HTC rom. You can also remap the t-zones key easily in the tmo rom; its setup differently in the HTC rom and I could never figure out how to change it there; the tmo has the xt9 option which I sometimes like to use; HTC rom does not have xt9.

MY Rogers (S621) ROM has all xt9, kb shortcuts etc. But with Rogers branding

Your welcome..QCaps is similar for the Q but for Caps on the the dash with the tmo rom you still need to hit the cap key once for a single key and twice to lock it to caps. Holding the key down gives you the upper value/symbol for that paricular key.

oh, you mean the ' * @ and other symbols. now i get it. Sorry for the stupid answers. I am still waiting for my actual unit to arrive but im reading about ROMs Tweaks Hacks for the Dash now
