Is there anyway to change the notification sound for text messages? I had changed my ringer already and was wondering if there was any tricks to being able to change the text message sounds. thanks!

settings/sounds and notifications/notifications and go to messaging:new message and change it there

i shouldv been more clear. I was looking to put an mp3 notification for the text messages like how you can put an mp3 ringer for calls.

Okay...make your mp3 ringer...It should be no more than 30-40 seconds long saved in a low bit rate (128). If you're not sure how to do this, google it, there are a lot of posts on how to do it. You will need an mp3 editor and there are several decent shareware versions out there. Save it or transfer it to your storage card, or in the windows folder and it should show up using the instructions I gave you in my previous post

the only way that you can make your own text message ringtones is that you have to save em as wavs cuz thats the only way they are readable for text emssages and juss throw it in your windows folder.
