I just bought a v3m with Sprint as the service.
I have already 'via my computers card reader' copy/pasted some pictures into the MicroSD card's images folder and can view them just fine on the phone - even plays a slide show.
I've also put a few music mp3's in the SD cards music folder and a short wmv video in the Video folder.. ..my question is when I click the Music or Media Player tab to play them, it wants to connect online which I've never gone online yet & don't want to and just cancel it - my question is - can I play some mp3's and even a small size video clip OffLine without connecting to the web? How? Where's the tab listing the item to start the mp3 player OffLine?
Thank you

Okay after reading hundreds of post on the web I tried a bit of everything, but still it would not play the songs I had previously copied to the Music folder, and like before when I tried opening the Music tab and then selecting the All My Music tab - it would give me the 'Application Error M508 Try again later salute' ..but in the end I did succeed and what made it work was that I converted the songs I had in the folder from their previous bitrate of 128 and higher down to 96 ...then when I went to the Music tab and then to the All My Music folder, no more error and this time my songs were listed and I could play them OffLine without ever had gone OnLine which required me to enable PowerVision...which honestly don't really know if that would of charged me more money or whatever, but anyway, I solved my problem I was seeking.
And so Yes you can use the Sprint v3m as an mp3 player not connected to the web, although quite honestly I don't know why anyone would want to use the phone as an mp3 player except for a novelty or quick reference to a song or something simple.

For those of you that are still having issues trying to play mp3 on your v3m, this is what I found out. You have to create a new folder on the micro SD card and name it <Music>. When you transfer your mp3s from your computer to the micro SD (great if you can use the SD adapter) you have to place your mp3s in that folder. This worked for me. Didn't have to change over to acc file. After inserting the micro SD card back into the phone you will have to select the Music icon, start application, and your mp3s should play.

Is there any way to make the music player a little more functional, for example to make it start playing where you left off the last time you used it?
