WM6 and home screen editors
is facade something that will work good on Dash / WM6?

If not what are some other home screen editors that you know work on WM6 and DASH without any major issues.

i am pretty sure facade will work with wm6 as most of the other hacks and programs also do...

I have facade working on WM6 although it's without much customization. Works just like it did under WM5 (i.e. no issues).

When I try to install Fascade on my Dash running WM6, I get an error...something about it not being a CE application....what am I doing wrong?

I've got Facade working on my Dash with WM6 and am having no problems. I've been able to customize it as I had on WM5. Make sure you have the Smartphone version not the one for Pocket PC.

What Version are you trying to install - this might be your issue..current is 1.22

I notice you are a first time poster so you may not know that:

.CAB files you put (UNEXTRACTED) on your device and tap to install

.EXE files you connect device so Active Sync is running and then open the EXE file on the PC. Active Sync then installs it to your device.

And if you knew this already I apologise. It's just the usual reason for getting this is not a CE programme is because you are opening it on the device not the PC.

i work on wm6 and facade. works perfectly for me. i can get customization but not a whole lot of it.

Thanks all for trying to help...I was just being a typical novice and not running the install from the PC side.

I do have another issue though that maybe you can help with...I can't seem to get any of the screens which have weather in them to work...I get the place where the weather is SUPPOSED to be, and it says something about Fizz Traveller Action Required, but no actual weather. If I select that section, I go right to weather. The version is registered and appears to work the way it's supposed to when you run it directly...

Do you have a copy of Fizz Traveler or Fizz Weather installed? If you do, the theme you are trying to run might call for a particualr view to be selected within Fizz Traveler or Weather to be selected first before it will display properly within Facade.

I have Fizz Traveller installed...I didn't know just getting Fizz Weather was an option...

It depends on what the theme developer called for although I've found some themes that call for FT and FW works fine.
