1st) They advertise a TytN, but sell the 8525 (no front camera)

2nd) What they DONT tell you is that there is ZERO warrantee on anything but the phone itself....

If the battery or charger is dead out of the box, their policy is to sell you a new one!

For example:
The Y adapter that lets you charge the phone while listening on headphones/speakers has a loose connection. The sound from the left side drops out.

The phone was purchased Apr 30

They will NOT exchange the adapter or repair it, they claim that there is NO warrantee from anyone on chargers, batteries and accessories even when included with the phone.
The claim that if I bought a phone from ANYONE (including Rogers, Cingular, HTC, etc. and the charger or battery (or in this case an adapter) thats included with the phone, didnt work out of the box I would have to purchase a replacement.

Unbelievable!

I just hope that this warning avoids another person being misled.

The only recourse now is to hope that this silly $10 part costs them some sales.

Well this situation. What i will say is they are not completely wrong becuase i have heard abt policies like that. they are in place beca a lot of users ( not u) abuse the accessories, some donot even know where to plug in the charger and they keep trying the memory card port and end up screwing the thing. Or just simply customer abuse which is hard to tell when it comes to accessories that is why they do not have warranties. But what i assume if customer ask them nicely and they know what customer service is ,it should not be a problem and your accessory should have been replaced. but again they are not totaly to blame in this. Rest selling 8525 saying it is a tytn is not right. Well it is a Hermes platform phone but they have to explain the Camera difference.

GTA-wireless are the dark side, stay away. they were a couple of Rogers workers who spent a little too long talking about their work with disgrunteled bell workers who hijacked a truck filled with "Uncle Ginos special parcels".

STAY AWAY.

So who IS recommended in the GTA?

I've been very happy with Softpocket.
http://www.softpocket.ca/
They have a real storefront with real people, not just an on-line canadian PO box
They may not always have the best prices, but they know what they are doing, are very helpful, have a great returns and client satisfaction attitude.

I have heard that superior gadgets are also very good, but I dont have first hand experience with them.

My experience involves the purchase of a Cingular 8525 a couple of weeks ago. The unit siezed up a week after purchase. No refund. No exchange. I was told they had to send it to HTC in the States. Instead I found out a couple of days later they were having some guy in Thorhill work on it. I told them this would violate any warranty if indeed one existed. They told me to call back in a couple of days. When I called back, they instantly told me they had sent it to the States. I expressed a concern I might never see the unit again....which is exactly how I'm feeling. I checked the warranty sheet in the box and sure enough, it's only covered if purchased in the States. It seems quite possible that these folks are selling stuff that fell off a truck as the box my unit came in is not branded at all. I certainly blame myself for purchasing this thing from such a shady retailer, but I went to Consumer Affairs anyway and filed a complaint. Anybody think small claims court is worth the effort? These folks need to be exposed.
